How To Do Affirmations, And Have Good Success

Millions enjoyed watching the DVD "The Secret" and the supplemental literature with it. I found the information compelling and life changing. Unfortunately there are a couple of gaping holes in the program; the most glaring to me was the process itself. I remember the one scene where it shows a young boy that desires a new bicycle. The scene shows him visualizing himself with the bike, riding the bike, spending time polishing the bike. Then a few seconds later he has the bike that he was visualizing. The process as it was shown in this scenario seems painless enough, however most of us who have ever tried to implement the process of Affirmation and Visualization know from experience that this was somewhat simplified.

The Secret celebrates the receiving of your Affirmation and Visualization. The new book How To Do Affirmations http://howtodoaffirmations.com celebrates Universal Affirmations, the process and the journey that a person undertakes and redefines what a successful conclusion really is, and it’s long-term effects on a person. This new book shows that there is a Universal purpose for Affirmations and visualizations and it is way more than a new Bike, Car or anything else because what we as humans are really after is Happiness. There is a reason why some people with all manner of material possessions sometimes blow their brains out with drugs, guns or something. Money, homes, cars, good health and happiness are not the real reason that people try Affirmations and Visualizations, but they seek something more. The boy sought the bike because he thought that possessing the bike would make him happy and fulfilled.

Though I totally agree with the process, primarily because it is indicative of my own experience with Visualization and Affirmation, my real life scenario as well as many others was not that clean cut and painless. How To Do Affirmations eloquently discusses the missing pieces of the process not effectively dealt with in the Secret DVD. In reality there was way more to the journey that the young boy took to get to the point of receiving his bicycle. There was no mention of the emotional, mental, psychological ups and downs that are a part of anyone going from Affirmation and Visualization to the receiving of the "Bike."

They didn’t adequately show the psychological or emotional state of the boy when he earned enough money to buy the bike and then the price of the bike increased to the point that he still couldn’t afford it (delay). The scene didn’t show the state of the boy when the bike was sold before he had opportunity to purchase it (despair), or when he saw other children receiving new bikes like or similar to the one that he desired and after all of this time he still does not have a bike let alone a new bike (discouragement). It was not shown where the boy almost gave up desiring the bike because he was beginning to think that it just wasn’t going to happen (depression).

It is my experience that for many people attempting to apply the processes of Affirmations and Visualizations that they hit a series of these roadblocks. Discouragement sets in often times, which is frequently followed by emotional or mental fatigue. In the book it is shown that in really intense situations it is not uncommon to battle depression because the manifestation of the
Affirmation and Visualization appears to them to be a long time coming.

The book also shows how the very journey that the person is undertaking is not only healing their situation, sometimes their very body; in addition to putting them in an emotional and mental conditioning that will no longer facilitate the reoccurrence of the thing that they are seeking relief from. It is these conditions that the new book [How To Do Affirmations] focuses on. This is the book that endeavors to carry the practitioner of Affirmations and Visualizations strategically through the process that the Secret doesn’t spend much time discussing and assist them in reaching the successful conclusions that the DVD the Secret so dramatically shows.
